My sweet grand niece was just the perfect age for Halloween and Christmas this year! Her Minnie Mouse costume was perfect since she had just been to Disney! I used this week's Nuts About Sketches sketch.
I didn't glue down the date tab as I'm not sure if I will keep it. The color seems a bit off for this page.

Oh Christmas Tree!
It was so much fun to watch Chandler look at and feel his first Christmas tree. You could see his eyes sparkle, and the little wheels turning as he tried to figure it out. I used this week's NAS sketch

Secret Stocking Stuffer Swap on Cricut board
I participated in a secret stocking stuffer swap over on the cricut circle message board. Today is the day we open our boxes which I did before I came to work this morning. It turns out "Irish Dancer" (message board name), had my name this year. She was very creative with her homemade items which included an altered composition book, a small notebook, and two fancy decorations (that I have plans to use on a layout). From my wish list, she bought the cricut cartridge, Wild Card II, a set of Pink Stamper punny stamps, and a white gel pen. You will notice all the items are laying on a piece of green canvas...oh yeah, my mind is going crazy with all the ideas that I can use that for!! I feel so blessed for her to have had my name!!!!!!

A Teddy Bear Party
Heather and Chandler belong to the Kernersville Mommy & Me group. Heather decided to host a party for the moms, tots, and their teddy bears. Some children brought a different stuffed animal. They ate teddy grahams, honeycomb cereal, gummi bears etc., read a story about a teddy bear, and even made a necklace out of cheerios for their bears. It was hard getting a group picture since one little girl kept crawling off, and others looked away! I made bag toppers using teddy bears cut from the Create a Critter cartridge and Heather put teddy grahams in them for the children to take home. I used a NAS sketch

My Seven Springs Girls
Last March I started scrapping with the most incredible group of ladies that I like to call my "Seven Springs Girls" because that's the name of the little town we meet in. We met this past Saturday and had such a fun time. They all have different styles, and it is interesting to see what all they are working on. Here are a couple of projects we all made together.

Advent Calendar
My sister was with me over Thanksgiving and we had so much fun putting this Kaisercraft advent calendar together for her granddaughter, my great niece, Ana. I had a ton of numbers left on those sheets of alphas, two sheets of Jillibean Soup paper, and even some embellishments all from my stash. I couldn't find the calendar last year until January so I bought it then knowing I would do one this year for her. Ana is 7 and will love finding all the goodies in it each day. I didn't get a shot of the sides, but it has JBS paper on it. Of course, with no natural light after I get home from work, I had to put it under my ott light to take this picture and the flash hit right in the center so it is hard to see that the ornaments spell out "Merry" and the two tags under that have another "Merry" and bottom one says "Christmas".

Blessed Beyond Measure
I love looking at other peoples blogs and one day while enjoying a blog hop, I commented on this amazing ribbon that Judy over on the craftyjar blog had used. She is so talented and the ribbon was just awesome. Judy was so kind when I left a comment, that she sent me an entire spool of the ribbon! I know, can you believe that? Crafters are a friendly group!! I used that ribbon on this double pager. The ribbon looks like measuring tape and fit nicely with my theme for this layout. Remember that you can click on the picture to make it bigger. This is the sketch from Nuts About Sketches that I used-

At The Park
I am enjoying my time on the NAS (Nuts About Sketches) design team. Shawn has some spectacular sketches, and they are so easy to work with. I have so many photos that I want to get scrapped and put in to albums, and I think NAS is helping me get that done. Here is this week's sketch
And here are a couple of sweet pictures of my daughter, Heather, and my sweet grandson, Chandler. They belong to a Mommy and Me group and do various activities with them. I'm glad she joined the group as she is living in a new town since she was married, and the group gets her out and she meets new people.
Shawn allows us a lot of leeway with the sketches, and as you can see, I rotated this one to accommodate my vertical pics. I used the Bella Blvd "Thankful" line of papers.

The Scraproom's Harvesting Memories Crop
This weekend I participated in TSR's online crop, and I was able to get two doubles and two singles done. The challenges were fun and we still have a week to finish up any challenges that we want to do. This page was double dipped for the "White Space Challenge" and the "Good Things Come in Small Pkgs" challenge. For the latter challenge, we had to use pictures that were no bigger than 3 X 3, a song title and a technique or element we haven't used in awhile or ever. I used the technique of mixing 7 different alphas, and I've only used a doily once or twice. The song title is an old one that Roberta Flack made popular circa 1972. These were the first photos of me with my sweet grandson. Of course, I was crying, so the pictures are awful!!! I usually fill up the page so white space is not something I usually have a lot of!
This one was for a sketch challenge which I used for the right side, but had to stretch it into a two pager since I have two doggies.
This one was for a challenge called 13 Silly Questions which took me wayyyyy out of my comfort zone which is a good thing! If you click on the picture, it will make it bigger so you can read the questions and answers.
And the last challenge is "Shape Up" where we had to use a shape ten times on the page. Obviously, I chose a circle!! I used the quote chipboard pieces from CTMH that came with the "Artiste" cricut cartridge, and cut the quotes from that cartridge. I love that speech bubbles are going to be a popular trend this year in scrapbooking!

Silly Boy
I used a piece of Jillibean Soup paper for this simple page of my grandson, Chandler, discovering his tongue and all the funny sounds he can make with it.

Watching football with dad
My daughter sent me this picture that was taken with her camera phone so it wasn't the best quality, but the picture was so doggone cute, that I knew I wanted to preserve it. Afterall, I can see Chandler watching football with his dad when he is six feet tall, and I can show him that it all started when he was 4 months old! I used the Basic Grey "Clippings" line of paper, and this sheet only needed a few embellishments and it was done!

Falling for Halloween Blog Hop
Welcome to the "Falling for Halloween Blog Hop". You should have arrived from Donna's blog If not, you will want to go to Maria's blog so that you start from the beginning, and don't miss any of the beautiful fall and halloween crafts.
I made this cute little flat back treat box for this blog hop, and then I sent it to my sweet partner, Ronnie aka BeachBum, for a fall swap over on the cricut circle message boards. She opened her box this past Wednesday so it's okay for me to share it now. LOL

I used the Create a Critter cartridge for the pumpkins, and Peachy Keen stamps for their faces. A little twine on their stems, and they were finished! I used the same patterned paper to make this treat bag. You can't tell in the picture, but it is kind of like saddle bags as there is another pocket on the reverse side that will hold treats.
Together, they made a nice set. The bag is holding M&M's and the box has 4 Smarties in it!
Credit where credit is due...I found the patterns for these two pieces at these sites
