Time 4 A Change

My friends at the crops that I attend give me a hard time about journaling.  I struggle with it to be honest.  I don't like my own handwriting, but like to use it instead of the computer because it does leave a piece of you behind and makes it more personal.  I am trying to do better!

Vacation layout

This was actually fun to put together and I tried to pinpoint why.  Well, the photos were of a really happy time when we vacationed at the Outer Banks in May, I put it together at a crop with some of my favorite people (Janiece and Jackie make me smile), I like bold colors and so the alphas and cardstock were yummy to me, and I think because I limited the amount of photos I had more space to spread things out and it didn't look crowded.  That's my thoughts, and I'm sticking to them!   Remember if you would like to see it larger, you can click on the picture itself.

This Little Piggy

I can't believe Cory and Heather actually let me ink up Chandler's feet and stamp them for this page.  They are so tiny right now, but I know one day it will take a couple of cow's to make his shoes.  He was very long at birth, and his dad is tall, and he looks just like his dad.

I'll Be Watching You!

Jasmine's maternal instincts kicked in when she met Chandler.  She adored everything about him.  We tried to keep her at a distance since he was only a few weeks old, but she watched every move he made.

How big was it?

Gary and Cory didn't care how big the fish were that they were catching off the Avalon Pier in the Outer Banks.  They enjoyed dropping thier lines in the water and having a nibble within a minute or two.

Trying new things

I see several things on the internet that I would like to try but don't always get around to.  This weekend, I made it a point to try a few things on this first layout.  The idea was to use the negative cut so the circles are actually cut out of the white cardstock and the pictures and patterned paper are behind the cut.  I pop dotted the pp so it shows some depth but you can't see it well in the picture.  I am not a person who uses a lot of white space on her pages so that is new for me too.  So glad I did this page and tried a few new things.

Father's Day

Doesn't he look like a happy father?  His smile was so huge in this picture, that I just had to use these happy papers from Bella Blvd's "Sunshine and Happiness".  I was going to title it "1st Father's Day", but his smile  radiated happiness to me!

Go

I knew I wanted to include these pictures in the album of our trip to England last year, but I could never find the right papers.  These are from the Bazzill Wayfarer line and they worked perfectly!

More baby pages

Are you tired of them yet?  I hope not!  I will be getting back to my vacation photos soon, but this has been nice to scrap Chandler.  The first one is my favorite that I have done of him.  I like a grid pattern.
This second one is just so precious of Gary and Chandler and how overwhelmed with love Gary was to hold a sleeping baby on his shoulder.
