Australia's War Museum

I am finally getting caught up enough so I can scrap some. We enjoyed visiting the War Museum in Canberra. There was something interesting for everyone!

Mini videos

My camera has a video function on it and I admit that I am not very good at it but I captured a few clips that I wanted to share of the animals in Australia. I hope I can do this. The first one is of penguins, then there is one on kangaroos, and then the flying foxes which resembled bats. There were just thousands of them hanging in the trees.

Mini album

While I was doing 12 loads of laundry on Saturday, yes 12 loads, I worked on this mini album. The pictures are of a missionary family we visited while we were in Australia. The book is a gift for a friend of theirs that they haven't seen for awhile. Before we left, I was watching a series of videos on http://www.creationswithchristina.com/ She used the grommets for the ring and I really liked that effect and copied it here. I also used her method of covering the chipboard with the pattened paper. Here's a few pages.

Back Scrapping

While we were in Australia, I was able to meet two scrappy online friends. I met both at The Scraproom. The first one is Laura who lives in Melbourne. She was just as sweet in person as she is on the message boards. The second one is Gab, who lives in Canberra. Gab was so nice and we liked each other's accent although I don't think I have one!!

Home at last!

Australia was awesome and much more beautiful than I imagined. It is good to be home again and I am finally overcoming that jet lag. Here are a few pictures until I can get scrappin (which will have to wait until after I tackle the mountain of laundry).
