"Hello" card

I tend to forget about the cute cards on the original Wild Card cartridge.  I found this one which was fairly easy to put together and perfect for a friend that I haven't seen in awhile.

Baby Love

Mutual Love

Last sketch for Nuts About Sketches design team.

I have enjoyed designing for Nuts About Sketches these last six months.  Due to some other committments, I decided not to apply this next term.  Thank you Shawn for some great sketches to work with!  Here's the last sketch

St Patty's card.

I made this St Patricks Day card for a challenge over at Cardz TV.  One of my goals this year was to make all of my cards and not buy any.  So far, so good!

Snow Bunny

This week's Nuts About Sketches sketch was perfect for two pictures of my grand niece, Ana, on the ski slopes.  It is hard to imagine that this precious little girl that my niece adopted from Guatemala would enjoy skiing so much at the tender age of six!

Valentine's bouquet

I saw something on the internet that was similar and decided to put my spin on it.  I made this for my valentine swap partner over on the cricut circle message board and since she has already opened it, I thought I would share.  I took a pink plastic pot (97cents at Wal Mart), put a styrofoam ball in it, cut out two sizes of a flower found on the Artiste cartridge, inked their edges, punched holes in the middle of the flowers after gluing them together, and put a heart shaped lollipop (a lollipop bouquet of ten pops was $1 at Wal Mart)through the hole and down in to the styrofoam ball.  I used my paper shredder to shred a letter sized piece of green cardstock for the grass.  This was so much fun to make, and I am so glad my partner liked it!!

On the Move!

Since my sweet grandson has learned to crawl, I've been snapping pictures of him everywhere.  I knew I wanted to use a lot of them on a layout, and when I rec'd this sketch from Shawn at Nuts About Sketches, I knew I wanted to use it.  Imagine 14 photos on one layout!!!  Here's the sketch

And here is my interpretation

Made With Love

This week's Nuts About Sketches sketch featured an 8 X 10 photo. I love that Shawn mixes up the photo sizes quite a bit as it gives a lot of interest to a scrapbook to have different sizes in it.  Here's this week's sketch

And here is my page with an 8 x 10 of my sweet grandson

Ghiradelli Candy Boxes

MizEsther over on the cricut circle board shared how she made these adorable little boxes that hold 3 Ghiradelli candy squares.  The box is on the baby shower cartridge and doesn't even require any adhesive!  MizEsther is super creative and I just had to lift her idea!  I used papers by Basic Grey.
