Echo Park Papers (Thanks, Sookie)

I won some papers from the Echo Park line on a blog hop.  Sookie sent them to me all the way from the Philipines so that made them even more special.  I absolutely love this new company and look forward to seeing more of their papers in 2011.  I was able to finish up an album that I was working on as a Christmas gift with them!!

Two more Christmas pages

2010 Christmas Cards

Garrett did much better this year although in the picture on the left he has his hand over his face but we think it must have been Santa's breath!

Not a fan

I think these kind of pictures need to be scrapped.  I laughed so hard last year when I saw this card.  I couldn't believe she had used a bad picture but then she didn't have any good ones to pick from!!  The little fellow did better this year as you will see in a few days!!

I used a sketch from Scrapbook Challenges.  I think the owner of that site is just so talented.  She is the one who typically designs the sketches (Pamela Young).

Canberra at night and Easter Service

Last night I finished up these two.  I need to work on my Christmas bulletin board for Sunday School so no scrapping tonight!

Fall is in the air

The photos of little Ella were so cute that I wanted to use a bunch but I only have a few pages left in the album that my daughter will give her mom as a Christmas gift.  I was able to get quite a few pictures on one page with this first one.

Here are a couple of pictures of Gary and a friend of ours being silly with their pinky fingers extended.

You Ate It?

Working hard to finish 3 books in time for Christmas.  Here's one of my friend, Cindy, eating kangaroo while we were in Australia.  I couldn't bring myself to eat it!

The Boo Crew

With three little girls wearing pink costumes, these pictures laid on my scrappy desk for a couple of weeks.  I would go past them and put papers next to them to see if they would match.  Last night I found a scrap piece of paper from last month's TSR kit and the mulberry cardstock and at least in my mind, they worked!

Empty blog!

I haven't posted in almost two weeks!  That is so unlike me, but I've been scrapping some pages for my sisters album and she checks out my blog so I can't post them here until after I give it to her in February.  If you read this, Sandy, they are beautiful!!!

Next weekend, the MOD team over at TSR (The Scraproom) will be showcasing some Christmas gift ideas.  I worked on two different projects this weekend for that and I am so pleased with the outcome.  I can't wait to share them.

And here are my pages using the sketch

Potty Training

The hardest part of this page was trying to decide how to cover up that private part.  I thought of using a button, a flower, or blurring it out digitally before printing the picture.  I decided on a dot instead since the patterned paper had polka dots.  I'm sure Ella will treasure (NOT) this page when she's older!!

The Jackson Five

We took this picture to send to the three missionaries that we would be visiting in Australia so they would know who to look for at the airport, train station, etc.  As we were taking this picture one Sunday evening at church, we were dubbed "The Jackson Five" since there were five of us and of course Pastor is Pastor Jackson.  I thought I would use this as the title page for Pastor and Cindy's album.

Koala Kountry

Getting a page done here and there.  I'm going to have to step it up if I want to finish three different albums by Christmas.  Here's one for Pastor and Cindy's album.  I love Pastor's goofy face in the bottom right photo.  He is such a funny person!

2 of a Kind

I love this picture of my Pastor, who has a great sense of humor, with an Aborigine while we were in Australia.  I watched a video on how to make the flowers over at Creations with Christina and I love how they turned out.

Sydney Opera House

I needed to scrap the Opera House for the gift album I'm making for Pastor and Cindy so I found this cute little sketch over at Sketches by Tamara and here's what I came up with.

Flinders station

This is the train station in Melbourne.  It is so big it takes up two city blocks.  A popular saying in Melbourne is "Meet you under the clocks" which refers to the row of clocks over the entrance announcing the departure and arrival time of the next trains.

Star Student

I've been busy at work this week so not much time to scrap.  I did squeak in this page that I worked on a little bit each night.

Girl Time

When we were in Australia, the guys went golfing, and the ladies shopped.  We stopped by this incredible cupcake place that we enjoyed.  Only half the calories when you share the cupcake!!

It is great to be 8!

I'm trying to keep current on several different albums that I have going.  This one is for Heather's BFF.  The party was yesterday and I scrapped it yesterday.  Now that's current!

The Fair

I had a good time scrapping these pictures of my daughter's friends children at the fair.  I love the night time pictures.  One of the two night photos is adorable with them holding hands and the other of them in the car with the ferris wheel behind them was precious.  Heather likes the one of Garrett holding the box of popcorn.  He was way in to that popcorn!

I used the American Crafts City Park papers that were included in the October's Scraproom Kit.  You can check out this month's kit here.

Remember that you click on the pictures to make them bigger.  Here's a closer look at the night time photos that I mentioned.

Garcias in Sydney

I've started an album for my Pastor and his wife, Cindy, who went with us to Australia.  Here are two pages that I made using the double shot kits from The Scraproom.  Oprah had Martha on her show earlier in the week and then offered everyone a 50% off coupon for a Martha item at Michaels.  I used mine with a gift card that I rec'd for my birthday a couple of weeks ago to buy a punch around the page set.  I used it for the first page.

Hanging Out At the Zoo

I've been enjoying Liz Qualman's sketches over at My Little Sketch Blook  This week her sketch included a large die cut dinosaur and she challenged everyone to use one or something similar.  Well a 9" monkey was the best I could do!  I also made a second page without a sketch in order to use some pictures that I wanted to include.

Sassafras Lass Warehouse Sale

I rec'd a box from Sassafras Lass yesterday and it was so full that I wanted to share some pics with my scrappy friends.  When they have a warehouse sale, it is so worth ordering from them.  No, it is not their newest papers like Indie Girl that was in our last TSR kit, but there were so many great ones from their older stuff that I hadn't used before.  In my box, there were four stamp sets, 8 sets of felties, 6 alphas, a ton of paper (two of each kind which make double pages so much easier),  PLUS a 163 piece kit from the sweet marmalade line.  Here are some pictures.  Remember that you can click on the pictures to make them bigger.

Keep It Wild

I am nearing completion of our Austalian album or should I say "albums" since there are two.  I just have a couple more pages that I want to include.  I've decided to do an album for our Pastor and his wife Cindy who were our traveling companions on this trip.  I will use a lot of the same pictures that I used for our albums but will scrap them differently.  Here is one that includes pictures of Pastor Jackson and Cindy.

MOD Squad blog hop

If you are here for The Scraproom's MOD squad blog hop, you should have came from Marcia's blog..  If you didn't then you will want to start at the beginning which is Barbara's blog..  Many of you know me by my board name of "Jasper".  That is actually my furry black friend's name that you can see in my picture at the top!

I am so pleased to be working on the MOD squad of TSR (The Scraproom) this year.  I've been scrapping for a few years and love the kits that The Scraproom puts together for us each month.  I enjoy scrapping not only our travels but our day to day life as well.  My great niece, my furbabies, and my daughters friends, all provide me with different "subjects"!!  A big part of scrapping for me is using my cricut machine.  It was all the alphas and titles that first drew my attention to the cricut, but I soon learned that the shapes were perfect for my scrapbooking accents.

I don't make very many cards.  I scrap mainly pages.  With that being said, be easy on me!  LOL!!  For this blog hop, I used this sketch from pagemaps.  (Yes, they have card sketches as well as page sketches!)

And here is my rendition of this sketch

I cut the title, ewe and the scallopped circle with my cricut.  I used the cuttlebug to emboss the circle and the ewe.  I love to use ribbon so of course I had to pick a sketch that included some.  The papers all came from the September kit at The Scraproom.  Cards are a great way to use up all those bits and pieces that are leftover from creating scrapbook pages.

Scroll down through my blog and have a look while you are here.  Your next stop will be Lenea's blog..  Lenea will be my partner next year when we serve our three month MOD duty!
