Brrrr in September

I received my Winter Woodland cartridge and used it on this page for my daughter's BFF's album.

Cocoa envelopes

I'm getting started on things for Christmas already. Here's one that I made a proto type for and will mass produce this Friday night at a crop. The cocoa package pops up when the ribbon ends are pulled.
Here it is opened
And with a tag attached

Vintage Pages

I scrapped my first two vintage papers this weekend. After working with subdued colors, I am ready to scrap something bold and bright tonight!

Mmmm

This page was done using Cosmo Cricut's new paper line that I rec'd in a kit from The Scraproom. Members of the scraproom recieve four kits each month and they are filled with a sampling of the latest and greatest scrapbooking papers and embellishments. I joined The Scraproom in May and have loved every kit up until this one. The great thing about this paper though, is that it is two sided so if you don't like one side, hopefully the second one will work for you which is what happened with these papers. In the end, I think I am happy with how this page worked out.

Cooler temps

Today should be our last 90 degree temp and cooler temps are on the way for the Carolinas. After all, it is mid September now and about time we get out of the oven. That means putting up sandals and my toes not being out to play until next year! That makes me sad.

I've gotten caught up on the baby album I am doing for my daughter's BFF's Christmas present. Here are the latest pages. The first one uses an overlay.

Summer Fun

I love to scrap summer pictures. They are usually outdoors so the pics are clear too. The dachsund on this page is named Sophie. She absolutely loves the baby, Ella. Sophie got in to the baby pool, despite her hatred of water, to check on Ella. When Ella and her mom come home from work/daycare, Sophie has to have the back door of the car opened so she can hop in and see that Ella is okay in her car seat. This all happens before Sophie, who's been in the house all day, goes to the bathroom. Who would have guessed that a dachsund could love a baby so much?

Another page

I have several albums "in progress" and a couple of them are gifts for Christmas. I am doing one for my daughter's friend and it is a baby one. This is so out of my comfort zone but I was able to work on a couple pages recently and think they've turned out well. The title of this page is Obama's catch phrase, so I thought it was a bit humorous to use. I am going to add an acrylic clock to this when some craft supplies I've ordered online come in, but here it is now minus the clock.

Last two pages of 2009 vacation album

Our faces were so red from the sun we got on the double decker buses that these pictures look awful to us, but the moment had to be preserved.

Hitchhikers

Yesterday I took my husband's SUV to work since I had to get groceries after work and my little Miata doesn't hold many groceries. I had just pulled out of the neighborhood when I felt something brush the inside of my foot. I had sandals on and I thought maybe a string from the hem of my pants had tickled my foot. As I turned the corner on to another road, I reached down to see if it was a string, and I saw a snake!!!! Immediate reaction was to lift feet up in the air and scream but I noticed a school bus behind me and I knew I had to put my foot back down on the accelerator and that is where the snake was. I pulled over at a milling company and a truck driver heard me screaming and saw the door flung open. He came over and got the snake and reassured me there weren't any more in there. Not exactly how I wanted to start my day!

Finishing things.

I am trying to finish up a couple albums-one is our 2009 vacations and the other is the second Israel album. Here is the title page for the vacation album and one of the last layouts. I think I still have one double page layout to finish and a single page.

Scrapping Again

I just realized it had been almost a week since my last post. I've got to get better at that. The HTML class that I am taking checks our blogs and we have to have certain required things posted. I think our next big project is to post a slide show. I hope that's easy!

It's been awhile since I completed a page for my Israel album so I worked on this one last night.
