I'm loving some vinyl
I saw this design on the web, but can't remember where or I would give the crafter credit. I love vinyl. It's my new favorite scrappy thing.

Hand Sanitizer Gifts
Bath and Body Works sell the holiday hand sanitizers (1ounce size) for 5 for $5. I have enjoyed altering these for some coworkers. They are so easy. I used velcro to close some of them, and others I tucked the front behind a tag.

Sophie Blog Hop
Hello everyone! Welcome to the Sophie Blog Hop! You will want to start at the beginning which is Michele's blog.
The Sophie cartridge comes with many features including cards, bookmarks, and doilies. Hop along with us to explore the Sophie cart and gain some inspiration!
I made a card and a scrapbook page to share with you today. This cart has three different card features. I am more of a scrapbooker, but with carts like this, cards are made easy!
Sophie has a feature called "Doily". You know, those lacey things that grandma use to have on her end tables and sometimes even on the back of the sofa!! LOL I like to hit the "Fit to Page" button on my expression, and make the doily in to a mat for my scrapbook pages. If you scroll down the posts here on my blog, you will notice two other pages that I have done this with. One is titled "hand picked" and the other is "where did time go". I've inked the edges on this page. I have also used the love birds shape that can be found on the very first button!
Before you move on to our other bloggers, leave a comment on this post for a chance to win 6 small Basic Grey Stamp Sets.
Don't forget to leave me a way to contact you if you are the winner! I will announce the winner on Monday evening. Please go to Sharon's blog next. Have fun!

A very fruitful weekend!
Our church holds a crop the last Friday of the month, but with Thanksgiving, we held it a week early, and decided to try an all day crop the following day. We were able to leave all of our things out on the tables when we left Friday night and just pick up and start scrapping on Saturday...it was great! Here are some pages I was able to do.

Thank You!
My daughter, Heather, had seen this somewhere on the web, and knew she wanted her thank you cards done that way. I made the signs, cutting the words on my cricut, and had them at the church for the photographer to use. He liked them so well, he asked for the signs! Heather uploaded the picture to snapfish and made gorgeous folded cards that she sent out. Everyone loved them!

Fall Fun
Most of the pages I have done recently were of my sweet grand niece for my sister's album. I can't post them since she visits my blog. One is featured this week over at scrapbookchallenges.com if you'd like to check it out. I'm excited as it was my second recent feature over there!!
This page is of my daughter and her husband in Stokes County, North Carolina. The waterfall is just beautiful to me since you can walk behind it. I enjoyed putting this one together!

Charming English Cottage
Our friend, and co traveler, Shelda, knew that one of the things she wanted to see while in England was the thatched roofs on cottages. She enjoyed seeing them up close one Sunday when we parked in a small village and walked around. The tudor houses were also pretty. It feels good to get another page done for this album. Remember that you can click on the picture to enlarge it!

Scrapping with Hurricane Irene
Stuck in the house with no power did give me some time to scrap. I was able to finish these layouts this weekend. The first one is a lift from the most recent issue of Scrapbooking Tips and Tricks on page 40 at the bottom of the page.
I thought it would serve as a nice overview of our trip and will be at the beginning of our album. Here are a few more I finished.

Hurricane Irene
We have survived Hurricane Irene but there is still much clean up to be done. Yesterday, the neighbors worked together to get one yard done at a time. Here are a few pics of the mess.

Circle Pals
I joined a circle pal group over on the Cricut Circle message board. I was paired up with a lovely girl from Arizona named Jennifer. We will exchange scrapbooking goodies a couple of times a month and chit chat through email during the week. I received my first package from her yesterday and it was full of embellishments and things that I can use to scrap not only our recent trip, but also Heather's wedding! It is fun to receive things that you didn't pick out because it broadens your horizons as to what is out there for scrapping. Jennifer has a sizzex machine that I don't have and she used it for the awesome hot pink and black daisies in the middle of the picture. Those were the colors used in the wedding. She also sent me some oragami dresses that are out of this world cute, and even a travel mini album that I have big ideas for. I am going to love these three months with Jennifer!

New Camera + vacation = Fun
My husband bought me a new camera for Mother's Day and I had a great time experimenting with it while on vacation. The night pictures and the macro close ups were fun and I really liked the picture of my friend, Shelda with the flowers on the fence beside her and the thatched cottage behind her. It almost made us overlook the clouds in the sky behind her.
