Two new pages

I am trying to stay current on my scrapping, but it is tough in the summer...too much going on!

Tryon Palace

Years ago the governor's mansion was located in New Bern, North Carolina.  Over spring break, Cory and Heather toured it.  They have everything as it was in the 1800's.

Sharing a sunset

It is only fair that this page should follow the ones I did yesterday as they were taken on the same day.  My daughter and her fiance captured this picture after spending the day at the beach.  They said it was the perfect ending to a perfect day together.

Just Beachy

I'm working on an album of Heather and Cory to display at their wedding in August.  They love doing "day trips" which give me lots to work with!

North Carolina Lighthouses

I've been dying to finish the album of all the lighthouses we visited last summer.  I wanted to do a layout with all 7 of them so now it feels good to have got that off my "to do" list, and declare the album finished as well!

The Waiting Game

My daughter and her fiance think that time is standing still as they wait for their wedding date in August.  I, on the other hand, think time is flying by and wonder if it will all come together in time!  I took the journaling from her facebook page.

Shaped card

I am a HUGE fan of Creations with Christina and that is where I scraplifted this shaped card from.

Mum's day gift

My friend Jackie has the sweetest mum (spelled with a "u" since they are British).  I decided to make her a little mini album/brag book to carry in her purse of Jackie's son's wedding last month.  I made the little box to put it in out of 2 sheets of cardstock and 1 piece of patterned paper. Mum is in the bottom right photo with her grandson.  The paper belt slides right on to hold the album closed.

Variety

I was able to finish a few pages this weekend and as I was taking pictures of them, I realized they were all for different albums.  The first one is of our trip to Charleston and the other is of a doggie park we found in Melbourne last year. (I finished another page of my grandniece but can't post it as it goes in an album for my sister who checks out this blog from time to time)  Gary and I were amazed that that the doggie park included a water fountain with a faucet at ground level for the doggie and another one at waist level for the owner!  It was near the end of our trip when we found it one morning, and we were missing our two pups.
